Nail fungus. Treatment of Nail Fungus.

Nail fungus is a very widespread disease. It is always unpleasant and unexpected. If you have got nail fungus then the first advise for you is to go to a dermatologist immediately! But if you want to understand what fungus is, read the article below.

Cure for nail fungus includes using medicines, taking steps to prevent the future infection, and often removing the infected nail.

Of course you can make a decision not to treat a fungal nail infection if your nail is damaged and discolored but not painful. Antifungal drugs don't guarantee a recovery  and anti fungal oral pills are expensive, have many side effects and can be dangerous for your health.

Immediate cure may shorten treatment time and increase your chances of recovering. If you decide not to treat the fungal nail infection, it may get worse and infect more of the nail and surrounding skin.

If you have a fungal infection of nails that make you feel embarrassment, discomfort or pain, you should better treat it. But if fungal nail infection does not bother you, you may try to treat it using such medicines like lotions, creams, gels, and lacquers. You can buy it all at a pharmacy without prescription.

Is it safe to get artificial nails during pregnancy

Is it safe to get artificial nails during pregnancy? It is normal that when a woman is pregnant, she wants to limit her exposure to as many toxic chemicals and compounds as possible.

And while there have been no controlled studies looking at the safety of acrylic nails in pregnant women, think about how many chemicals are involved in applying, maintenance and removing artificial nails. You probably do not want baby exposed to all that chemicals.

Of course it is best to hold off on artificial nails until after the baby is born. Even after that, you may find that caring for your baby is much easier without long nails.

In the meantime, stick to the naturally buffed look or use a DBP-free, formaldehyde-free polish. There is a big number of them on the market! If you want to make a pedicure in a salon, ask for a seat in a well-ventilated area, and if the fumes make you feel nauseated, definitely go outside.

Gel Or Acrylic Nails? What to choose?

<>
Both acrylic and gel nails have their benefits. Both acrylic and gel can be used with and without a nail tip for added length. Both need to be filled in about two weeks or so. There are different opinions on which is stronger. There are many persons and many opinions. The main advantage of gel applications is that they are inodorous while the smell of acrylic nails can be overwhelming.

Besides gel nails look extremely natural, with and without an added tip. And can be worn with or without nail polish. Acrylic nails look best when polished. As with all fake nails, gel especially should be applied by a professional. If gel is not cured correctly or if the gel is not applied thin enough between coats, there can be many problems. If there is any little vacuum between your nail and artificial a nail fungus can appear. Dont ever forget to ask the nail salon if they are properly trained in gel applications.

Top 5 Fall-Winter 2010-2011 Nail Colors

Sexy Goth style
Favored by designers such as Sonia Rykiel black nails return for this season. To avoid returning into a total Rock babe, wear dark nails with school pieces like pleated skirts or oxford heels.

Fall style
When leaves change their color to chestnut and scarlet, why not do the same thing? At Bill Blass, models wore polish in a deep burnt rust, the perfect fall shade.

A perfected red
Instead of a cherry red, choose a sophisticated crimson polish in winter. As demonstrated at Derek Lam’s show, the alluring shade goes well with fall’s lace and tweed styles.

Pretty in deep pink
A pink nail polish made waves at Tracy Reese’s autumn show. Perfect for romantik dinner, a sheer polish offers a hint of pink without seeming too well-behaved.

Blue is autumn’s new neon
Backstage at a fashion week there was nary a neon nail to be found. Instead, inky midnight hues graced models’ fingertips, as we see at Paul & Joe.

Nail Tips. Good Looking and Healthy Nails.

Thought they might seem to be the least important, your finger nails attract a lot of attention to oneself. Nails need to be polished well and it is better for you to know what shade you need to apply. Here are a few looks you could use.

Natural Stylish Daytime Look

Day colors have to be easy to wear such as soft red and pink, gentle beige and darkish blue. File nails into short and square style to create a practical sporty effect. Apply a base layer, allow them to dry and then apply two layers of colored polish. Finish off with a top layer.
The Final Look A practical, natural style based on short square nails and a soft, easy to have polish.

Evening Party Look

It is a good chance to try out the shades that you didn't dare to wear during the day. First of all apply a base layer, then two layers of vibrant, fluorescent polish. Add extra shine by using a sparkling silver polish on top of the main colour when it is dry. Finish of with the top layer.
The Final Look Fluorescent colours are great for party as they look so vibrant a layer of sparkling silver polish adds the finishing touch.

Sophisticated Glossy and Glamorous Look

For a grown-up and glossy effect, choose deep dark colors that strike a dramatic note, such as this vampish red. File nails into a long oval shape and apply a base layer. Give nails at least 2 layers of main polish and let them dry thoroughly in between. Finish with a top layer.
The Final Look A dark, dramatic polish gives long nails a touch of glamorous finesse.

French Manicure for the Perfect Cared Looking

This is the best idea for special event when you want your nails to look perfect but not over colored. Apply a base layer and after dry, cover the tips of the nails with white polish. Let them dry and apply a very pale pink or peach polish over the whole nail. When dry apply a top layer.
The Final Look A clean and fresh effect that make the natural shine and color of the nails better.

Nail care Tips
A healthy nail is smooth in texture and has well formed cuticles.

Nails grow faster on a dominant hand of a person. They also grow very quickly when a woman is pregnant and in the summer. The fastest nail's growth is in the middle finger, with the growth rate progressively decreasing on the fourth, second, and fifth fingers and finally the thumb. Besides, fingernails grow faster than toenails.

A little advice: If you want your nails to be longer and stronger put garlic on them.
